Game of Thrones To Get It’s Own Convention

That’s right! Pull on your chainmail, wrap up in your wolf pelt and arm yourselves with your painted cardboard longswords as Game of Thrones is getting it’s own convention! No, the header image from this post isn’t an artist’s impression of the foot traffic to expect at the Con but we wouldn’t be surprised. I myself would climb over some dead bodies to attend.

Entitled, brilliantly, Con of Thrones, the Game of Thrones convention will celebrate everything from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire and will be hitting Nashville USA in 2017. The convention is being put on by the awesome gents and gentle wenches at Watchers on the Wall, a dedicated Game of Thrones fan community you may know from Kit Harington’s Hair Watch.

Opening day will be June 30th 2017 and it will run over the July 4th weekend. Should we expect ale drinking, tankard clinking, dragon riding, sword fighting, knight jousting, child sacrificing, stall raiding and dismemberment? At least some of the above. What do you think about Game of Thrones getting it’s own convention? Are you planning on going? Tweet your thoughts and feeling @CelebrityCutout.
